JUNE 2nd through 4th, 2017 Seeking a Chapel of Substance

Sketch of Chapel Floor Plan D ecisions, D ecisions, D ecisions! Finally decided, we both breath a sigh of content!  

JUNE 1, 2017 King's Court Chapel Appears!

   Facing Heritage Hall, The Christmas Rose Garden stands to the right and King's Court Chapel to the left.  King's Court Chapel replaces a UKWhole Foods Market  formerly at this location, but which was relocated to inside the base of the Clock Tower.    The Chapel floor plan decided ( Heritage Hall is on a North Arrow alignment, meaning facing Heritage Hall steps, right hand is East and left is West), Richard proceeded to fabricate the base and topography, then create and cut the chapel footprint into the "topo".  The footprint locates the altar facing East (actually a wee bit South of East, which the experts say is fine). After that, he painted, laid out, and installed these elements on the prepared base. So fun to watch! .   The broom has become a virtually permanent fixture now. Never let it be said a Marine does not keep his space BOTH neat and organized! Finished Foundation for King's Court Chapel! ...

MAY 30, 2017 The Dream Maker (dubbed so by Anne!)

 *Note: There was a stable in this location. Gone! It's The Christmas Rose Garden now, complete with Orangery ! Possibilities for the Pond appear. Electric channels are identified and carved in the foundation. Reminders appear. Electric string lights are converted from battery operation to electrical. And the work sails on!

MAY 29, 2017 And . . . Presto! The Christmas Rose Garden Appears.

He sculpts! He assembles. He illuminates. A "Chihuly" lighted glass art companions with the Orangery. Perfect roses for the Christmas Rose Garden are acquired.  And the sculpting moves on.

How he does it, I do not know. I am always just turning around and there's something new there!

MAY 22, 2017 Projecting Topography!

Left and right of Heritage Square, he scored-out closed cell styrofoam shapes and beginning at "ground level" built up ground level changes, all the while capturing circulation paths and destinations.
